Cloudy Skies (PTU) Tutorial

This tutorial was written by Dianna Richards of Digicats (and Dogs)/Di Before Dawn Tutorials. Any resemblance to any other tutorial, published or unpublished, living, dead or undead, is purely coincidental.

Please do not rebroadcast, redistribute or otherwise claim this tutorial or any part there of as your own work.

Items you will need to complete this project:

The Ghosts in the Machine taggers kit by Digcats (& Dogs). This is a PTU kit that can be purchased EXCLUSIVELY at Scraps and the City.com.

Tube of choice. I am using Cloud Burst, by ©Myka Jelina. This is a PTU tube, and you must have a license to use this tube, which is available at Myka's Graphics.com.

Mask of choice. I am using Grate by Nik's Scripts & Scraps which is part of her PSP Masks Mega Pack.

Font(s) choice. I am using Century Gothic which is a Windows System font. If you do not have it, you can download it HERE.

Optional Alpha of choice. The PTU Old News Alpha by Scrapper Girl Designs. I have no idea where you can get this one at, as the blog referenced in the TOU is no longer active. You may choose to use a font to add your name to the tag instead.

Note that H# and V# refer to Horizontal and vertical coordinates on your canvas grid. Make sure you have View, Rulers checked in order to see the ruler grid.

When I say "Add to your canvas" I expect that you will copy and paste it as a new layer, unless otherwise state in the tutorial.

This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of PSP. It was written using PSP X3, but should work in PSP 8 and up.

To begin, open a new raster layer canvas, 800 x 800 pxl, flood fill white.

Open paper of choice. I am using DCD_GitM_Paper09. Layers -> Load/Save Mask -> Load Mask from Disk and select mask of choice. I am using Grate, by Nik's Scripts & Scraps. Make sure the fit to canvas box is checked, then click on load.

Edit -> Copy Special -> Copy Merged and add to main canvas, centered.

Open DCD_GitM_Barbed Wire01, and add to main canvas, centered at V400, H550.

On the layers pallet, click on Raster 1 the paper layer to activate. Using your Magic Wand tool, click anywhere outside the masked paper area to select. With the Grate Mask, you will need to set your mode to Add (Shift) and click in several places to get the whole outside area selected.

With the area still selected, click on Raster 2, and press the delete key.

Selections -> Select None.

Open DCD_GitM-Airship, resize to 75% and add to main canvas, centered at H200, V350.

Open DCD_Gitm-Pipeworks and resize to 75%. Add to main canvas, centered at H500, V450.

Open DCD_GitM-Frame05 and add to the main canvas, centered at H500, V400.

Open tube of choice. I am using "Cloud Burst" by Myka Jelina. Copy Layer 3, and add to main canvas, centered at H500, V400.

On the layers pallet, right click on Raster 5, the frame layer, and duplicate. Right Click on the Copy of Raster 5 -> Arrange - Bring to top.

With your selection tool set to rectangle - replace, select the top half the frame copy, Copy of Raster 5, and delete.

Selections -> Select None.

Using your eraser tool erase any part of the pipeworks, Raster 4, that falls outside the frame area.

Open DCD_GitM_Threadbow 03, rotate left, and resize to 75%. Add to main canvas, centered at H700, V400.

Open DCD_GitM-Light02 and mirror. Add to main canvas, centered at H300, V550.

Open DCD-GitM-Barbed Wire02 and resize to 75%. Add to main canvas, centered at H400, V650.

Open DCD_GitM_Gears1 and resize to 50%. Add to main canvas, centered at H600, V575.

Open DCD_GitM_Tag05, and rotate left. Using font of choice add the copyright information, background credits and tagged by info to the tag. For the Cloud Burst tube, that information is:

I am using Century Gothic, 4 points, bold and centered, and then used my pick tool to resize downward just a bit to fit everything on the tag.

Merge visible, and rotate right. Add to the main canvas, centered at H700, V380.

Using your eraser tool, erase the top bit of Tag02 to make it look like the bow has the tag tied to the frame.

(The cheat for this is to click on Raster 7, the threadbow layer, to activate. Using your selection tool set to rectangle - replace, select just a little bit of the bow knot. Selection -> Promote Selection to Layer. Right click on the Promoted Selection layer -> Arrange -> Bring to top. If you use this method do NOT add a drop shadow the Promoted Selection in the next step.)

Starting with Raster 2, the first Barbed Wire layer, and working upward, add a drop shadow of choice to each of the elements on your main canvas, except for the frame layer copy, Copy of Raster 5.

I am using offsets, vertical and horizontal of 5 each, opacity of 75%, blur of 15 and color black (#000000).

Open DCD_GitM_Mist and resize to 75%. On your layers pallet, click on Raster 9, the second Barbed Wire layer to activate. Add the Mist to your main canvas, centered at H400, V550. Using either your eraser tool or your smudge tool, or a combination of both, smudge out the left edge of the mist a bit so it looks more natural and is not a straight edge.

I used mainly the eraser tool, and then did just a little bit of smudging around the top of the mist to blend it.

You should now save the artist's copy of your tag as a .pspimage file.

Using font or alpha of choice, add desired name to tag. Being Queen of Alphas, I am using the Old New Alpha by Scrapper Girl Designs. I have the name centered at H300, V600, and have added drop shadow to match the rest of the tag.

Drop your white background layer and merge visible. Resize to 75% (600 x 600 pixels) and save as a .png file, and you are all done!

Note that for forum use, I am resizing by 75% again to reduce the tag to 450 x 450 pixels. For Facebook, I am saving the tag as a .jpg, with a white background.

Skypunk (PTU) Tutorial

Items you will need to complete this project:

The Steampunk taggers kit by Sky Scraps, which is a PTU kit that can be purchased at Scraps and the City.

Tube of choice. I am using Lucy, by Myka Jelina. This is a PTU tube, and you must have a license to use this tube, which is available at Myka's Graphics.com.

Mask of choice. I am using Gears by Nik's Scripts & Scraps which is part of her PSP Masks Mega Pack.

Font(s) and/or alpha of choice. I am using Century Gothic, which is a Windows systems font. If you do not have it, you can download it HERE.

I am also using the PTU Corrugated alpha by Elayne Araujo.

Note that H# and V# refer to Horizontal and vertical coordinates on your canvas grid. Make sure you have View, Rulers checked in order to see the ruler grid.

Edit -> copy Special -> Copy Merged and add to main canvas, centered.

Open Sky Scraps-AS-F2, and add to main canvas, centered. Image -> Free rotate -> Rotate Left, 17 degrees.

Open tube of choice. I am using Myka Jelina's Lucy tube. Copy Layer 4 and add to main canvas, centered at H400, V350.

Open SkyScraps-AS-BW-1 and rotate left (or right) and add to main canvas centered at H450, V575. Image -> free rotate -> rotate left, 17 degrees.

Open SkyScraps-AS-Cluster5 and rotate left. Resize to 75%, and add to main canvas, centered at H600, V350.

Open SkyScraps-AS-E12, and resize to 75%. Add to main canvas, centered at H400, V550.

Open SkyScraps-AS-E16 and resize to 75%. Add to main canvas, centered at H600, V500.

Open SkyScraps-AS-E17 and resize to 75%. Add to main canvas, centered at H600, V500.

On the layers pallet, click on the paper layer, raster 1, to activate.

Open SkyScraps-AS-E6 and resize to 75%. Add to main canvas, centered at H250, V300.

Return to top layer, Raster 8.

On the materials pallet, set your foreground color to transparent and your background color to white (#ffffff). Using font of choice add copyright information to the tag. For the Myka Jelina tube that information is:

I am using Century Gothic, 4 points, bold and centered. I also add the background credits and tagged by information at this point. I then fit text to path to put the copyright around in the inside edge of the masked paper. It is beyond the scope of this tutorial to explain how to do this, but you can find a separate tutorial explaining how to fit text to path HERE.

Using the following settings, add a drop shadow to to your text: Offsets of 3 each, opacity of 100%, blur of 5 and color of black (#000000). Repeat using offsets of -3 each, while leaving all other settings the same.

On your layers pallet, click on the clock layer, raster 9 to activate. Starting with that layer and working upward, add a drop shadow of choice to each of the items on your main canvas, except the copyright, which you've already add a drop shadow to. I am using offsets of 5 each, opacity of 75%, blur of 15 and color of black (#000000).

Save your artist's copy as a .pspimage file.

Using font or alpha of choice, add desired name to tag. I am using the Corrugated alpha by Elayne Araujo. I have the name centered at H300, V575, and have added a drop shadow to the name to match the rest of the tag.

Drop the white background layer and merge visible. Resize to 75% (600 x 600 pixels) and save as a .png file and you are all done.

If you will be using this tag on facebook or posting it to galleries, you might wish to save it as a .jpg file, as it looks much better with the white background on it, than the black one that some places are imposing.

Red Hot Lover (PTU) Tutorial

Items you will need to complete this project:

The Red Hot Valentine taggers kit by Artmama Made which is a PTU kit available at Stargazer Scraps.

Tube of choice. I am using Cold Hearted, by Darkmoon's Dream. This is a PTU tube, and you must have a license to use this tube, which is available at ScrapsandtheCity.com.

Mask of choice. I am using Wee Scots Mask #83 which you can download HERE.

Font(s) and/or alpha of choice. I am using MS Gothic which is a Windows System font. If you do not have it, you can download it HERE.

I am also using the Red Alpha by Stephinette. It is a Christmas alpha but it works for Valentine's Day too.

Note that H# and V# refer to horizontal and vertical coordinates on your canvas ruler grid. Make sure you have View -> Rulers checked in order to see the ruler grid.

When I say "Add to your canvas" I expect that you will copy and paste it as a new layer, unless otherwise stated in the tutorial.

This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of PSP. It was written using PSP X3, but should work in PSP 8 and up.

To begin, open a new raster layer canvas, 800 x 800 pxl, flood fill white.

Open paper of choice. I am using AM-Red Hot Valentine09. Layers -> Load/Save Mask -> Load mask from disk and select mask of choice. I am using Wee Scots Lass mask #83. Make sure the fit to canvas box is checked, then click on load.

Edit -> Copy Special -> Copy Merged and add to main canvas, centered.

Open AM-Red Hot Valentine embellie20 and add to main canvas, centered at H300, V350. Image - Free Rotate -> Rotate Right, 18 degrees. Duplicate and Mirror. Relocate the duplication to H500, V450.

Open AM-Red Hot Valentine embellie16 and add to main canvas, centered. Right click on Raster 3 on the layers pallet and go to Arrange -> Move down. Repeat the move down.

Return to top layer.

Open AM-Red Hot Valentine embellie07 and rotate left (or right, makes no difference). Add to main canvas, centered.

Open tube of choice. I am using Cold Hearted by Darkmoon's Dream. Open the close up, Cold Hearted04, resize to 65% and add to main canvas, centered.

On the layers pallet, right click on the frame layer, Raster 4, and duplicate. Arrange -> Bring to top.

Set your selection tool to rectangle - replace and select the top half of the frame copy layer, Copy of Raster 4, and delete.

Using your eraser tool, erase the bits of the tube that fall below the frame. Return to top layer.

Open AM-Red Hot Valentine embellie38, and add to main canvas, centered at H400, V250.

Open AM-Red Hot Valentine embellie17, and resize to 65%. Add to main canvas, centered at H175, V500.

Open Cold Hearted03, and resize to 45%. Add to main canvas, centered at H400, V600.

OpenAM-Red Hot Valentine embellie44 and add to main canvas, centered at H575, V650. Arrange -> Move down.

Return to top layer.

Open AM-Red Hot Valentine embellie48 and add to main canvas, centered at H200, V125.

On the materials pallet, set your foreground color to transparent and your background color to white (#ffffff). Using font of choice add copyright information to the canvas. For the Cold Hearted tube, that information is:

You should also add the background credits and tagged by info at this time.

I am using MS Gothic, 4 points bold and centered. I then free rotated the text right, 90 degrees, and located it along the right side of the frame at H650, V350.

Starting with the mesh layer, Raster 3, and working upward, add a drop shadow of choice to each of the elements on your canvas, except for the frame copy, Copy of Raster 4, and the copyright.

I am using offsets, vertical and horizontal of 5 each, opacity of 85, blur of 15 and color dark red (#400000).

For the copyright information, change your settings to offsets of 3 each, opacity of 100% and blur of 5 and add the drop shadow. Repeat, using offsets of -3 each.

You can now save your tag as a .pspimage file.

using font or alpha of choice, add desired name(s) to tag. I am using the Red Alpha by Stephinette, and have the name centered at H550, V600.

I then added a drop shadow to it of offsets, 5 each, opacity of 85%, blur of 5, and color dark red (#400000).

Drop the white background layer and merge visible. Resize to 75% (600 x 600 pixels) and save as a .png file, and you are all done!

Note that if you are planning on using the tag on Facebook, you may wish to save it as a .jpg as Facebook does not handle .pngs well.

Bewitching (PTU) Tutorial

I wanted to write this using her two freebie samplers but I could not fine the Sunshine and Lollipops one, so I used the PTU kit instead. So, items you will need to complete this project:

The Witching Hour taggers kit by Gothic Inspirations, which is a PTU kit that is available at Gothic Inspiration.com.

Tube of choice. I am using Belladonna, by Myka Jelina. This is a PTU tube, and you must have a license to use it, which is available at Myka's Graphics.com.

Mask of choice. I am using the Shambles mask by Nik's Scripts & Scraps which is part of her PSP Masks Mega Pack.

Font(s) and/or alpha of choice. I am using MS Gothic which is a Windows System font. If you do not have it, you can download it HERE.

I am also using the Goth Chic alpha by Whispy's D'zines, which is a FTU alpha you may download at whispysdzines.blogspot.com.

Note that H# and V# refer to Horizontal and vertical coordinates on your canvas grid. Make sure you have View, Rulers checked in order to see the ruler grid.

When I say "Add to your canvas" I expect that you will copy and paste it as a new layer, unless otherwise state in the tutorial.

Open Frame2-GI_TheWitchingHour and add to main canvas, centered.

Open tube of choice. I am using Belladonna by Myka Jelina. Copy Layer 3, and add to main canvas, centered.

On the Layers pallet, right click on Raster 3, the frame layer and duplicate. Right click on Copy of Raster 3 -> Arrange -> Bring to Top.

With your selection tool set to rectangle, replace select the top half of frame copy, Copy of Raster 3, and delete.

Selections -> Select none.

Using your eraser tool, erase just a bit of the wing on the right hand side to make it fit into the frame. Return to top layer.

Open Bow-GI_TheWitchingHour and resize to 75%. Add to main canvas, centered at H175, V160.

Open Cobweb-GI_TheWitchingHour and resize to 50%. Add to main canvas, centered at H550, V600.

Open Spider-GI_TheWitchingHour and resize to 75%. Add to main canvas, centered at H575, V550. Image -> Free Rotate -> Rotate left, 17 degrees.

On the Materials Pallet, set your foreground color to transparent and your background color to white (#ffffff). Using font of choice add copyright information to the tag. For the Belladonna tube that information is:

(Note the change in artist's url if you purchased this tube from CILM.)

You should also add the background credit and tagged by information at this time. I am using MS Gothic, 4 points, bold and centered and have my copyright information located at H400, V90.

Starting with Raster 2 on your layers pallet and working upward, add a drop shadow of choice to each of the elements on your canvas, except for the frame layer copy, Copy of Raster 3. I am using offsets, vertical and horizontal of 5 each, opacity of 75%, blur of 15 and color black (#000000).

You can now save the artist's copy of your tag as a .pspimage file.

Using font or alpha of choice add name of choice to tag. I am using the Gothic Chic alpha by Whispy's D'zines and have my name centered at H350, V600.

Using the same settings as above, add a white drop shadow to the name. Then repeat using offsets of -5 each, leaving all other settings the same.

Drop the white background layer, and merge visible. Resize to 75% (600 x 600 pixels) and save as a .png file and you are all done!

Note that if you are planning on using the tag on Facebook, you may wish to save it as a .jpg as Facebook does not handle .pngs well.

Cleo on the Beach (PTU) Tutorial

Items you will need to complete this project:

The Blood Red Sea taggers kit by Digcats (& Dogs). This is a PTU kit that can be purchased at Stargazer Scraps.

Tube of choice. I am using Captain's Quarters, by ©Amberly Berendson. This is a PTU tube, and you must have a license to use this tube, which is available at My Tubed Art.

Font(s) choice. I am using Century Gothic which is a Windows System font. If you do not have it, you can download it HERE.

The Black Epoxy alpha by Marie Stones. This is a FTU alpha that may be downloaded at the link provided.

Note that H# and V# refer to Horizontal and vertical coordinates on your canvas grid. Make sure you have View, Rulers checked in order to see the ruler grid.

When I say "Add to your canvas" I expect that you will copy and paste it as a new layer, unless otherwise state in the tutorial.

This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of PSP. It was written using PSP X3, but should work in PSP 8 and up.

To begin, open a new raster layer canvas, 800 x 800 pxl, flood fill white.

Open paper of choice. I am using DCD_BRS_Paper16.

Edit -> Copy and add to main canvas, centered.

Open DCD_BRS_Frame04 and add to main canvas, centered. Using your magic wand tool, click anywhere outside the frame area. With the selection still active, click on Raster 1 and delete. Return to the Frame layer, Raster 2.

Open Amberly Berendson's Captain's Quarters, copy tube2 and add to main canvas, centered at H400, V450.

Right click on the frame layer, Raster 2 -> Arrange -> Bring to Top. Using your eraser tool, erase the bit of the tube that hangs outside of the frame.

Click on the Raster 1, the paper layer to activate. Open DCD_BRS_Netting and add to main canvas, centered at H500, V350.

Open DCD_BRS_Sand and add to main canvas, centered at H400, V500. Using your magic wand tool, right click anywhere outside the frame area on Raster 2 to select. With the area still selected, click on Raster 5, the sand layer and press the delete key.

Open DCD_BRS_Barrel and resize to 50%. Add to main canvas, centered at H425, V300.

Open DCD_BRS_Fern and resize to 50%. Add to main canvas, centered at H500, V275.

Open DCD_BRS_Black Eyed Susans and resize to 50%. Add to main canvas, centered at H525, V300.

Selections -> Select none.

Return to top layer, Raster 2.

Open DCD_BRS_Ribbon05 and resize to 75%. Add to main canvas, centered at H400, V600.

Open DCD_BRS_PiecesofEight and resize to 50%. Add to main canvas, centered at H650, V500.

Open DCD_BRS_Hat, and resize to 50%. Add to main canvas, centered at H600, V600.

Open DCD_BRS_Parrot03 and resize to 50%. Add to main canvas, centered at H600, V130.

Using your eraser tool, erase any bits of the background elements that may fall outside the frame area. You will want a nice clean edge on the frame if you are going to bind your text to the outside of it (next step).

On the materials pallet, set your foreground color to transparent and your background color to black (#000000). Using font of choice, add the copyright information to the tag. For the Captain's Quarter tube, that information is:

You should also add the background credits and tagged by information at this point. I am using Century Gothic, 4 points, bold and centered and have bound my text to path to align to the outside edge of the frame. It is beyond the scope of this tutorial to teach you to do that, but if you do not know how to do this, you can find a tutorial for it HERE.

Using the following settings, add a drop shadow to your text: Offsets 3 each, opacity 100%, blur 5 color white (#ffffff). Repeat using offsets of -3 each, leaving all other settings the same.

On the layers pallet, return to Raster 4, the netting layer. Add a drop shadow of choice to each of the times on your main canvas, except for the sand layer (Raster 5), the Frame layer, Raster 2, and the copyright layer. I am using offsets, vertical and horizontal of 5 each, opacity of 75%, blur of 15, and color black (#000000).

You may now save the artist's copy of your tag as a .pspimage file.

Using font or alpha of choice, add name of choice to tag. I am using the Black Epoxy Alpha, and have name centered over the ribbon at H350, V550. Use your pick tool to adjust to taste.

Drop the white background layer, and merge visible. Resize to 75% (600 x 600 pixels). Save as a .png file, and you are all done!

If you are planning on using the tag on Facebook, you might want to save it as a .jpg file, as Facebook's handling of .pngs has changed and the tags look better with the white background on them.

Klown (PTU) Tutorial

I wanted to write this using her two freebie samplers but I could not fine the Sunshine and Lollipops one, so I used the PTU kit instead. So, items you will need to complete this project:

The Horror Whorez freebie sampler by by Gothic Inspirations, which you may download from her blog at the link provided.

Tube of choice. I am using Clown, by Karen M. Koski, who just made her stunning debut at My Tubed Art. You must have a license to use this tube, which is available at My Tubed Art.com.

Spiral mask of choice. I am using the Spiral Staircase mask by Nik's Scripts & Scraps which is part of her PSP Masks Mega Pack.

Font(s) and/or alpha of choice. I am using the font century Gothic, which is a Windows System font and the Bloody Mess alpha which is a FTU alpha available at Free Digital Scrapbooking.com.

Note that H# and V# refer to Horizontal and vertical coordinates on your canvas grid. Make sure you have View, Rulers checked in order to see the ruler grid.

Open Tule-GI_Sun&Lolli and add to main canvas, centered.

Open Frame3-GI_Sun&Lolli , Mirror and add to main canvas. centered. Image -> Free Rotate -> Rotate Right, 15 degrees.

Open KarenMKoski Clown and copy the tube layer. Add to main canvas, centered. Image -> Free Rotate -> Rotate Right, 15 degrees.

Use you pick tool to line up the right side and bottom of the tube with the right side and bottom of the frame.

On the layers pallet, right click on the frame layer, Raster 3, and duplicate. With your selection tool set to rectangle, replace, select the top half of the frame copy, Copy of Raster 3, and delete.

Selections -> Select none.

Erase the bit of the clown's shoulder that is overhanging the frame on the right hand side. Return to top layer.

Open Circles-GI_Sun&Lolli and add to main canvas, centered at H200, V400.

Open String-GI_Sun&Lolli and add to main canvas, centered.

Click on Raster 1, the paper layer to active.

Open second paper of choice. I am using Paper6-GI_HorrorWhorez. Layers -> Load/Save Mask -> Load mask from Disk and select the Spiral Staircase Mask by Nik's Scripts and Scraps. Make sure the fit to Canvas button is checked, then click on load.

Resize to 85%. Edit -> Copy Special -> Copy Merged and add to main canvas, centered. Free Rotate -> Rotate Left -> 25 degrees.

Click on Raster 2 on the layers pallet. Open Mask-GI_HorrorWhorez and add to main canvas, centered.

Click on Copy of Raster 3, the frame layer copy to activate. Open Splatter-GI_HorrorWhorez and resize to 75%. Add to main canvas, centered at H200, V550.

Go to top layer. Open Knife-GI_HorrorWhorez, Image -> Flip, and resize to 75%. Add to main canvas, at H600, V550.

Using your pick tool, find the center right hand boundary box. Holding down the left mouse button, drag the boundary box over to H380 to invert the knife. Then move the knife to H550, V550.

Image -> Free rotate -> Rotate left, 65%

On the materials pallet, set your foreground color to black (#000000) and your background color to Orange-Gold (#cc690a). Using font of choice add the copyright information to your tag. For the Clown tube that information is:

You should also add the background credit and tagged by information at this time.

I am using Gothic Inspirations, centered, and bold and free rotated the text left 77 degrees to match the angle of the frame.

Using the following settings add a drop shadow to your credits: Offsets 3 each, opacity 100, Blur 5, Color White (#ffffff). Repeat using offsets of -3 each, leave all other settings the same.

On your layers pallet, click on Raster 2, the tule layer. working upward, add a drop shadow of choice to each of the elements on the canvas, except the frame layer copy, Copy of Raster 3, and the credit layer (of course). Note that you will once again half to do some touch up with your eraser tool on the clown's right shoulder where it overlaps the frame.

You can now save the artist's copy of your tag as a .pspimage file.

Using font or alpha of choice, add name of choice to the tag. I am using the Bloody Mess alpha, and have my name centered at H450, V600. I then added a drop shadow to match the rest of the tag.

Drop the white background layer and merge visible. Resize to 75% (600 x 600 pixels) and save as a .png file, and you are all done.

Note that if you are planning on using the tag on Facebook, you may wish to save it as a .jpg as Facebook does not handle .pngs well.

I Love Rock-N-Roll (PTU) Tutorial

Items you will need to complete this project:

The Lil Rock Star taggers kit by Schnegge's Scraps. This is a PTU taggers kit that is available at My Tubed Art and Twilight Scraps.

Tube of choice. I am using psp15697 Hot by Wendy Gerber. This is a PTU tube and you must have a license to use it, which is available at My PSP Tubes.com.

Mask of choice. I am using the PlayMisty4Me mask by Nik's Scripts & Scraps which is part of her PSP Masks Mega Pack.

Font(s) choice. I am using Century Gothic, which is a windows system font, and the Gothic Romance Alpha by Whispy's D'zines.

Note that H# and V# refer to horizontal and vertical coordinates on your canvas grid. Make sure you have View -> Rulers checked in order to see the ruler grid.

When I say "Add to your canvas" I expect that you will copy and paste it as a new layer, unless otherwise state in the tutorial.

This tutorial assumes you have a working knowledge of PSP. It was written using PSP X3, but should work in PSP 8 and up.

Open a new raster layers canvas, 800 x 800 pxls, flood filled White.

Open paper of choice. I am using p04_Lrs_Schnegge. Layers -> Load/Save Mask -> Load Mask from Disk. Select mask of choice. I am using PlayMisty4Me by Nik's Scripts and Scraps. Make sure the fit to canvas box is checked, then click on load.

Resize to 115%. Edit -> Copy Special -> Copy Merged. Add to main canvas, centered.

Open Glitter_Lrs_Schnegge and add to main canvas, centered.

Open Bike_Lrs_Schnegge and add to main canvas, centered at H500, V450.

Open Frame06_Lrs_Schnegge, and add to main canvas, centered. Image -> Free Rotate -> Rotate Right, 30 degrees.

Open Tube of choice. I am using psp15697-SCGerber-Hot. Copy the close up layer, Layer 1, and add to main canvas, centered at H450, V350.

On the layers pallet, right click on the frame layer, Raster 4 and duplicate. Right click on the new Copy of Raster 4 -> Arrange -> Bring to top.

with your selection tool set to rectangle-replace, select the top 2/3rds of the Copy of Raster 4 - down to the V500 mark, and delete.

Selections, Select none. Using your eraser tool, erase the bits of the tube that fall below the frame layer, as well the bit of tube's boobie that is hanging over the frame on the right hand side.

Return to the top layer, Copy of Raster 4.

Open Boots_Lrs_Schnegge, and Image -> Mirror. Add to main canvas, centered at H200, V500.

Open Swirl2_Lrs_Schnegge, and add to main canvas, centered at H400, V600.

Open wordart02_Lrs_Schnegge, copy and add to main canvas, centered at H400, V600.

Open Tag_Lrs_Schnegge. Using font of choice, add the copyright information to the tag. For the Wendy Gerber tube, that information is:

You should also add the background credits and tagged by information at this time.

I am using Century Gothic, 5 points, bold, and centered. I have my foreground color set to black, and my background color set to Candy Hearts from my PSP Valentine Gradient pack. Use your pick tool to adjust to needed.

Merge visible.

On the layers pallet, click on the glitter layer, Raster2 to activate. Add the tag to you main canvas, centered at H250, V250.

Image -> Free Rotate -> Rotate Left, 60 degrees. Use your pick tool to position the tag so that the credit show behind the frame. Make sure the credits can be read and that they are not being covered by any other part of the design.

Starting with the tag layer, Raster 9, and working upward, add a drop shadow of choice to each of the elements in your tag except for the frame copy layer, Copy of Raster 4. I am using offsets, vertical and horizontal of 5 each, opacity of 75, blur of 15 and color black (#000000).

You can now save the artist's copy of your tag as a .pspimage file.

Click on Raster 4, the frame layer, to activate. Using font or alpha of choice, add desired name to the tag. I am using the Gothic Romance Alpha by Whispy's D'zines. I free rotated my name, right, 30 degrees to match up with the frame angle, and located it at H550, V150.

I then added a drop shadow to match the rest of the tag.

Drop your white background layer and merge visible. Resize to 75% (600 x 600 pixels) and save as a .png file and you are all done.

Please note that if you are planning on using this tag on Facebook you may want to save it as a .jpg file with a white background, as Facebook does not handle .pngs well.
